Key Events

• fastboot flash recovery hung at “Sending” — fastboot unusable for writes
• Flashed via EDL: 53 MB at ~20 MB/s ✅
• First recovery boot: stale OTA from 2023-12-18 (in /cache/recovery/block.map) hijacked boot, applied 2.8 GB + 572 MB OTA, rebooted to Android. Firmware: 3.5 → same (OTA was already applied)
• Cleared block.map + uncrypt_file. Second boot: ONYX logo only, no ADB after 45s

Diagnoses

• Display: EPDC requires explicit ioctl calls to refresh — TWRP doesn’t issue them → frozen
• ADB: Unknown root cause — USB init, adbd not starting, or early crash
• Decision: Target headless TWRP (ADB only) first; display deferred to Phase 07
